Problem hooks
Problem hooks open by naming a specific problem the viewer already has, so the right person recognises themselves in the first second and stays for the fix.

Fill in the brackets with something specific to your post. Every hook here is a pattern, not a line to copy word for word: the specific detail you add is what makes it stop the scroll.
Name the problem
If your [thing] keeps [frustrating outcome], it is probably this.
Example: If your sourdough keeps coming out flat, it is probably this.
The reason your [goal] is not working has nothing to do with [common assumption].
Example: The reason your savings are not growing has nothing to do with how much you earn.
Stop [common action] if you want [result].
Example: Stop washing your face twice a day if you want less oily skin.
You are [doing thing] wrong, and it is costing you [specific cost].
Example: You are packing your carry-on wrong, and it is costing you two outfits.
Most [people like you] make this [topic] mistake.
Example: Most first-time renters make this deposit mistake.
Why your [thing] [bad result] after [time].
Example: Why your plants die two weeks after you buy them.
If you [relatable situation], watch this before [next step].
Example: If you just got your first brand email, watch this before you reply.
This is why you [undesired result], even though you [effort].
Example: This is why you are not losing weight, even though you walk 10,000 steps.
The [topic] advice that is quietly making [problem] worse.
Example: The skincare advice that is quietly making your breakouts worse.
[Problem]? Fix it in [short time] with [simple thing].

Only use a number in a hook when you can back it up in the post.
