AI caption generator in your own voice

Distinct's caption generator writes Instagram captions from your saved voice profile and your own past captions, offering a few genuinely different angles per post, and has a sponsored mode that carries a brand's talking points, required tags, and disclosure into every option.

How it works

  1. 1. Set up your voice once

Answer five questions about your tone, your audience, and the words you never use, and add a few captions you like. Every Studio tool writes from this profile.

  2. 2. Optionally connect Instagram or X

With an account connected, ideas and drafts start from what already worked on your own posts rather than from a blank prompt.

  3. 3. Describe the post

Say what the post is and what you want from it, such as saves, comments, shares, clicks, or follows.

  4. 4. Switch on sponsored mode for brand deals

Add the brand's talking points and required tags, and every caption option includes them along with a disclosure.

What you get

  • A few caption options per post, each a different angle
  • Captions aimed at the goal you pick: saves, comments, shares, clicks, or follows
  • Sponsored captions with talking points, tags, and disclosure built in

What makes it different

Learns from captions you already wrote
The voice profile includes captions you like, so drafts match how you actually write.
Disclosure is not an afterthought
In sponsored mode the disclosure is part of every option, not something you remember to add before posting.

What it does not do

  • During the private beta the writing tools draft for Instagram. TikTok, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn are coming next.
  • Distinct does not post or schedule content. You copy what you keep and post it yourself.

Common questions

Can an AI caption generator write in my own voice?
It can get close if it has something to learn from. Distinct writes from a voice profile you set up once, including captions you like and words you never use, and from your own best posts if you connect Instagram or X.
Does it add #ad to sponsored captions?
In sponsored mode, every caption option carries a disclosure along with the brand's talking points and required tags. You should still check placement against the FTC's guidance, summarised in Distinct's free FTC disclosure cheatsheet.
