Media kit checklist
A media kit needs six things on one page: who you are and your niche, audience size and engagement rate per platform with the method stated, audience demographics, two or three past brand results, the deliverables you offer, and a rate or starting range, shared as a link rather than a PDF.
By Distinct ·
Tick these off before you send your kit to a brand. Every item is something a brand looks for in the first minute.
Who you are
Two lines: what you make and who it is for
A brand should be able to place you in a category immediately.
Your content pillars by name
For example: budget weeknight cooking, kitchen kit, meal planning.
A photo and your handles
Your numbers
Followers per platform, not one combined total
A brand buying Instagram does not care about your YouTube count.
Engagement rate per platform, with the method
By followers or by reach; say which.
Current figures, dated
Brands compare your kit to your live profile.
Audience age, gender, and top 3 to 5 locations
From your platform analytics.
Proof
Two or three past brand collaborations
Close to the work you want more of.
A result for each: reach, engagement, clicks, codes, or sales
No paid work yet? Use your best organic product posts, labelled as organic
The offer
The deliverables you sell
Feed post, story set, short video, long-form, UGC, events.
A rate or a starting range
Or rates on request, with contact one line away.
A note that usage rights and exclusivity are priced separately
One clear way to contact or book you
Format
One page or one screen
A hosted link, not only a PDF
Opens on a phone, forwards easily, updates after you send it.
Linked from your bio and email signature
